Denon 1600H with Polk TL1600 - First Build

Soundbar can be bettered even by a TL1600 IMO but moving to a bookshelf is where the real performance enhancement begins where you don't feel.the need to go to a theater any longer. For me that point was with a Qacoustic concept 20 ,3020i and 3090i center

Have decent 9.1 but for new movies I used to go to theater .

Personally I felt the need to go to theater reduce drastically barring the big releases which demanded to be watched in theater.

Whats the cheapest AVR you'd recommend with this? Really don't need explosive sound for my 10x15 room, just enough to be better than soundbars.

Get the 7.2 ch AVR like Pioneer 9xx or Denon 2xxx. If you are ok with pre owned stuff try for old Anthem MRX-5xx or Cambridge Audio AVRs.

Thanks everyone for your comments/suggestions. I got the below:

Denon 2700H - 71k
ELAC DEBUT 2.0 B6.2 - 31k

I negotiated till the last moment to squeeze these prices.

Now the search is on for a Sub-woofer. Centre channel & surrounds will be added slowly.

I'll post my review soon once these are delivered. Your comments are welcome.

LOL. My bad. This thread got re-activated yesterday so assumed it to be a new thread. Old age has reduced my observational skills. But doesn't alter the fact that the new setup was not displayed in the thread.
