Hi guys,

Need your valuable advice in setting up a personal music system. I am no audiophile and listens to music casually but I really appreciate a good sound. My room is 18X18 and I would prefer floorstanders (deciding on Tannoy Revolution DC6T SE). My sources would be PC, I Pod, Portable HDD and Thumb drive, with all files lossless (FLAC and Apple Lossless). Considering my input options I am in a dilemma as to whether to get a full blown Amp with options of Airplay and PC/USB input or should I go for a micro system like the Denon Ceol Piccolo? This micro output an impressive 65W RMS @ 8 Ohms, I wonder would it be powerful enough to drive the Tannoy Speakers. Kindly help me decide on what options I have considering my input options and a budget of 40 - 50K for an Amp or a micro.

All suggestions are warmly welcome

I am considering this too. Ceol has a CD Player and Piccolo doesnt and I believe I can attach my bluray as CD player to this if required. Gotta checkout its performance. Yamaha has MCR series but the power output seems less 15W x 2. Onkyo is also at 22 W x 2 for similar system.

I just came back a while ago after the demo. Denon Ceol is really good but priced at 55K almost, not sure if it is worth the price. So I am thinking of holding on because I can probably get a AVR 1713 which does airplay and internet radio and it will suffice. So not sure about Ceol as of now.
