Hi Folks

I'm facing the following issue with my Denon x3800H. I'm not able to use network features (HEOS Music), nor I'm able to enter into Setup. As soon as I press HEOS or Setup, I receive a screen with a "Please Wait.." message with a progress bar, but it does not move ahead (I left it on for more than an hour). [Image attached]

I did no FW update. I remember skipping the last FW update.

I tried Restart by pressing the power button for 5 seconds - It Restarts but the issue persists
I tried Factory reset by pressing Pure Direct+Sound Mode with Poer Button - Resets (displays Initialised), but the issue persists

I'm getting sound & display from all channels if I'm using my Apple TV connected through HDMI but I've lost music functionality because of this issue. I'm afraid to reset FW as I fear that I may lose the remaining functionality.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

I have the exact same issue. I fixed it in the past last year, but it's back and I can't remember what I did to fix it. Far as I can remember it was something to do with heos, but I turned off updates and all network to my reciever and the issue came back possibly due to someone messing things up by sitting on the remote. We're you able to figure this out or did u have to factory reset? I'll keep investigating, too. Thanks

Hi

Yeah. There are two things I did.

1. Disconnected all cables from the AVR. Connected the AVR using LAN and ran the firmware reset. It started resetting the firmware & system started working again.

2. Second time it happened, I did a quick power cycle (switch off & on from mains in quick succession). The AVR started showing an upgrade & is working fine since then.
