Hi,

I am planning to buy either onkyo 3500[5.1] or onkyo 22hdx[2.1] for my bed room.

I do not want to setup rear speakers if I opt for 3500 as I dont want to run wire across room.

My question is should I buy onkyo 3500 and is there way to disable /not use rear speakers and only use front 2 and center speakers ?I am100% sure that I dont want to use rear speakers. But will it perform good if I dont setup rear speakers at all
Or
Should I go for onkyo 22HDX and buy a center speakers ?

I am looking onkyo for Blueray 3d and blueray/dvd movies

Thanks,
Milind

Most AVRs have an option where you can specify the number of speakers. Also there is no problem even if you disconnect the rear speakers. But I would suggest you to use the rear speakers to get complete surround sound feel. Also note that these HTiBs have only AVR and sepakers and no blu-ray or dvd player.

Thanks for your reply. Yeah I have 3D blue ray player from sony and sony led

But I am not able to make mind between following

2.1 Onkyo HDX22 or
5.1 Onkyo 3500 Disable rear speakers

My Budget is max 30K

Any other 2.1 system you can suggest till 30K

Thanks,
Milind
