Hi all,
Apologies for the long post.
I have been planning to get a soundbar for my projector based bedroom setup (standard 10x12 size) since some time. Currently I am just using an Obage 2.1 setup because I did not want to spend much having already spent around 28k on an egate projector. I got more interested when I checked out my cousin's setup which was a Zebronics 94xx some 5.1 model soundbar. I have been looking for a good one ever since. And the more I looked, the more I felt I am heading into a black hole . I really need help before I jump the gun and buy something I am gonna regret later.
So the above is my intro and below is where I am confused. Gurus, please help.
1. My cousin insists on getting Atmos and is pushing for Zebronics. I looked at a lot of reviews and almost decided, though half-heartedly, on one of the 500w+ atmos models from Zeb, 9850 pro or 9775 Jukebar or even the 9900 pro which retails for around 32k. Half heartedly because I am somehow (personally) not inclined towards Zebronics as a sound system brand. I feel I should go for either JBL, Sony or some other established brand ( of course depends on the budget which is currently about 30k). The only reason I was looking at Zeb is because of their reasonably priced Atmos models. JBL Sony or the other brands with 5.1.x atmos are upwards of atleast 40k which I definitely dont want to spend right now. So my query here is this. If I get a 5.1 Dolby Digital setup, will I be able to enjoy 5.1 DD surround sound if I play Atmos content. If I get one for under 25k , I can look at something like jbl 500 pro or even the 800 pro in about a year's time.
2. Basically at the end, I guess there is only one query. Should I buy a 5.1 setup like the Sony s40r or LG S65tr for 27k/22k or get a Zebronics Atmos one ranging between 24k-32k. (I have checked out few malls but dont see any Zebronics models on display or testing). Please advise any other models as well as long as it is under 30k.
3. Sorry one more - I also came across this model with virtual atmos - JBL SB190/ SB590 - How are these in terms of atmos experience.
Looking forward to hear inputs on the above. Thanks a lot in advance.
