Dual Sub for denon 2400

Dual subwoofer will give you more system headroom, more bass headroom for great bass dynamics, less localisation of sub, even and smooth bass at major listining positions at the cost of expensive bass units, occupies more floor space, complicated bass management.....

Yeah thanks but i am already aware of this. Just wanted to check with some one using a dual set up on avr's similar to denon 2400 :)

Yes you would get a signal from the other out port. and the reason why denon 2400 can't process 7.2 is because it does not have independent control on bass management like crossover frequency, delay settings individually which is available from 3400h and models above. You can ensure that you're receiving the signal by simply plugging in a mono rca cable in pre out (2) that's not used and touch the tip on the other end of the cable and when doing your subwoofer which is already connected from the pre out (1) would probably make extreme hum noise to indicate signal interruption. Keep the volume of the sub down before you try it and am sure this neither harms receiver nor the woofer or even best to use a meter which confirms the input level. Hope this helps.
