Overall there are no issues with higher models of Denon (200x onwards) and Marantz models....usually sometimes depending on where you are located and how electricity is cascaded to the consumers, there could be instances of electric current coming through the set top box....can be a loose wire somewhere affecting too...
If you have all the possible safety standards of electrical points etc at your place, you need not worry then at all.....most of us are quite ok touchwood!
Now most of us want the best video and audio and hence use HDMI and feed it straight to the AVR....this is risky when we know for a fact that our electricity infrastructure is not that great....could be good in some parts of India.....
