I was asking my GF to buy the E8000 just at 85K.However, my room aint big enough for 51'.

Also, my friend is in samsung and might get me a 25% employee discount. He would take some money from me...

Room size is 14' X 11......

That would mean you would get a TOTL Full HD plasma and that too a 51 inch for a steal price. Suweet!

Do you mean 25% discount over 85,000? This works out to 63,750. Even assuming that he takes a 'cut' of Rs. 5,000, you will get a 51" FHD top of the line Samsung plasma for less than 70k. So what is it that holds you back?

For your room size, and assuming a viewing distance of 9' to 10', 51" is ok.

Problem is we are confused about room size....it may be too big ?

Also, Discount is on DP which should be lower than 85K I guess....

Well, sad news, DP is 95 K and not freebies...Still stands at 71-72 K....with no BD Player or Tab. Baat to same he hein

lcdfreak,
The main question is: is this a dedicated entertainment/AV room? If so, there s nothing to worry about.
If not, you have to figure out placement and stuff before you take the plunge.

What do you intend to do with the wall other than putting a TV on it? I find my 50" plasma too small on my ~18-19 ft wide wall of my living room. Larger the TV, grander it would look.
What are the deals on larger sizes?
