Long Bright River

Watched Long bright river a TV mini series set in Philadelphia starring Amanda Seyfried who does a decent job of the lead character. Bright is only in the title - even the outdoor scenes are dull drab and in low lighting!
8 episodes seems too long in an otherwise good crime drama thriller. Enough twists but nothing edge of the seat. Ok for a one time watch.

The Eastern Gate
Fast-paced Polish spy drama “The Eastern Gate” is intense, tricky and surprising. “Don’t trust anyone,” the characters constantly warn one another. And, well — don’t. Ewa (Lena Góra) is a Polish spy, and at the outset she is undercover at a glamorous party. Only she isn’t there to hobnob with her boyfriend’s icy mom, she is there to gather information about said mom’s involvement in nuclear bomb making. Interest start to an engaging show that has a decent amount of action as well. Office politics , global politics, international conflict and interpersonal conflict all mixed judiciously for a 6 episode interesting and engaging watch.

Zero Day (TV Mini series)

Robert De Niro's first leading role in a TV series and what a performance. Power packed cast, gripping story line, writing, cinematography and acting everything comes together to make this a great watch. Watched all 6 episodes in one day! It is a political thriller with some hacking thrown in with plenty of mystery and twists to keep the viewer hooked. Not a dull moment!
