Feedback on Boston Acoustics SoundWare S (not XS)

Wanted some feedback on these speakers.

Have the Boston Acoustics SoundWare S (not XS) been discontinued? I dont really see them in the Boston acoustic website.

Is this the same one as the outdoor speakers listed in the Bostonacoustics website?

There are a few good review of these in audiovisualoneline.co.uk recommending these over XS for having more beefier sound than the smaller XS speakers.

These seem to be more powerful than the XS ones.

Was wondering whether For a medium sized room 16 x 15 ft, would this reproduce music well (i.e., apart from surround)?

There is a good alternative to the ba soundaware s. Its the ba a2310hts which is a normal speaker like design. One of our fms. I can recollect is efernand1 he has the ba soundware s. Definately will be a better choice than xs. No harm in looking at the ba a2310hts though. You need to audition. If its not in the website then maybe they must have discontinued the model. Going strictly by size then it makes sense to buy soundware s i feel the a2310 has an edge over the soundware s.

But I think if music is in consideration then it is better to go with bookshelves rather than satellites.
Plus the room size is also not a small one as such.
So A2310 might be a better option if you are looking at BA only.
I tried to audition the BA speakers in Delhi NCR but couldn't find them anywhere for demo.

I was thinking of a following configuration

Denon Receiver AVR X510 BT
Boston Acoustics XS speakers for center, surround and woofer.
Boston Acoustics A26 for L and R. Since I want 2.1 music to be good.

Please let me know if something wrong with this configuration.

Fronts and center should be ideally be identical speakers.
If not possible then at least from the same speaker series of a manufacturer.

Try Reliance Digital, Ambience Mall Vasant kunj, i auditioned them in November.

I auditioned BA XS 5.1 paired with Pioneer VSX-523 in the controlled env of the showroom. I thought movie reproduction was decent. Music was good at medium-high volume I could hear all instruments, but with low volume it was disappointing.

Then he paired it with Pioneer todoroki 335TT (5.1) with floor standing speakers. It was just too good even at low volumes it sounded good. I guess its the difference between FS and satellite.

Now I'm considering FS too
:-(


But for the 335TT the subwoofer were REALLY bulky. It will crowd out my living room.

Are there any very good sleek Floor standing speakers?

budget- receiver + speaker - 60k
