Its excellent. Have been using it for past 4 months. Even 320 mbps mp3s sound a lot better on this. But best with flac format obviously.

Only crib is on battery life. Doesn't last for more than 6-7 hours while in operation.

Hello there. I'm using fiio x5 3rd gen since it's launch. Being a noob I can't give you comparisons but any other queries, please feel free to ask.
I'm using senn hd598, ath m50x, rha t10, trinity audio master 4 and fidue a73 with the fiio.

I am using it since 3/4 months. Upgraded from 2nd generation. Quite a lot improvement from last generation in terms of sound signature. More spacious more detailed. Battery lasts for aprox 6 hours of continuous use. Android on it is not great. Its bit Laggy. If u use pure music mode, then its snappier. Screen though 4 inch and 480p, colour reproduction is very good. Pause and volume and power buttons are awkwardly places. U tend to press pause button while operating power button.

How is the sound output and overall SQ?

M considering Fiio X3 2nd gen. Wud X5 be better at that price point or Astell & Kern AK Jr at the same price point?

AK Jr is inbuilt with Wolfson DAC.

I have connected it with 2-1 RCA. SQ is quite good.
