Why don't you get out there and audition some amps? All that's being talked about have distinctly different sound flavours. Having said that I would invest in NAD if I were you. If you are planning to indulge in Phono, the older NADs would make a good try. If not, then the modern NADs will suffice. You could start with a 3020 which is light on the pocket, a huge bang for the buck, but can be found in good condition, with a lot of luck.
