First hifi stereo amp

doesn't seem to find the DAC - as I said I don't have a great source to play , hence may go with PM 6005 that has inbuilt DAC.
Kindly correct me if I miss something.

Both are having inbuilt DAC with different Power out put(45W Vs 60w) per channel. Please go ahed with your choice.

Hi Balaji

I would suggest you
(a) Audition the Denon PMA 1510AE along with the Marantz PM 6005. I started with the PMA 1500AE and have thoroughly enjoyed it
(b) I agree with Goose, allocate a decent amount and try to improve your source (CD player)
(c) Last but not the least, try and listen to the Tannoy 6T / Tannoy 6T SE. They are floorstanders. I heard the 6T .... They sound excellent to say the least

Cheers

Hi,
As you want to listen to fatigue free music at great length, definately you need a warm amp.if you search in HFV, u will find list of amps, which are warm.
I am selling my NAD375BEE AMP which has 150wpc clean power.it is there in for sale by owner section.you can do research on net and PM me for further details.
Cheers

Why don't you get out there and audition some amps? All that's being talked about have distinctly different sound flavours. Having said that I would invest in NAD if I were you. If you are planning to indulge in Phono, the older NADs would make a good try. If not, then the modern NADs will suffice. You could start with a 3020 which is light on the pocket, a huge bang for the buck, but can be found in good condition, with a lot of luck.

The Cambridge Audio 651A should also fill your need quite nicely
It has a inbuilt DAC you are looking for. Price should be little less than 50k

Puts out 75w per channel

thank you all for your kind replies.

Update : I got Rotel RA12 that has inbuilt DAC , that can play songs from pendrive directly also and also has bluetooth capability - can do from iphone, ipod via blutooth.

currently paired with Klipsch speakers, however will be changing it - looking out for a nice pair for Rotel - a little less costlier option than B&Ws ( which is said to be good pair ).

Source - currently only via Samsung cd/dvd player , also on the search for a good source.
