Good receiver around 20k-22k?

For that price, you'd only get an entry level Amp like Norge etc (In India)

If you could source your stuff from abroad like Singapore or Dubai, you'd get an entry level amp from International companies like NAD, Marantz etc.

I heard that Craftel, a chennai based company is coming out with a stereo amp.

Norge 2000 (12k) + Wharf 9.2 (14k) is a good start.

However, if you want future proofing, then go for a Marantz PM5003 for 20k.

Alternately, if you want to settle for less than 20k:
Norge 2060 (7.5k)
Wharf 9.1 (11.5k)

How's 30k for a amplifier+ stereo speaker set? Will i get still entry level or better than that? Also can u mention some good amplifier n stereo speaker models in this range?

Music preference: all type of bollywood songs, some english songs. don't like too heavy bass english rock songs

room size: approx 150 sq. ft. (suggest something suitable to something bigger, planning to shift in near future)

Budget: How's is 10k budget for stereo amplifier? (not much idea abt this, found that 30k is entry level for 5.1 HTIB)

I am from Rajkot. I think I will have to visit Ahmedabad to have some demos of amplifiers n speakers. And yes, please provide me that person's contact number. I will talk with him and have some information before I visit Ahmedabad and also inquire if there are any other showroom in my city if I am missing any.

I would suggest keep you options Open for a an used amplifier. Chances are likely that you may get a used system which will perform far more better than limiting your chances for a new stereo amplifier.

I got a used Marantz 6.1 receiver ( 5 yrs old) for 9K from one of the forum member and primary use it for stereo listening. The detail & clarity is amazing in stereo mode, & i am in love with it.

Take ur chances. Take a live demo of some used product and then decide. If not go for a new amplifier.

or pay more and buy yamaha 467??
