got samsung 40c650, but there is a problem!!!!

i am facing quite similar problem for my aa02 40c530,have told them to replace.they apparently said they r searching everywhere to get me a replacement with a Sq01 spva samsung panel.....as for someone here, telling they/samsung ppls can simply change the sticker, i think they might NOT coz along with the printed Panel/version code,is Printed the Serial No.for the Tv set in the same sticker...so if they just fraudulently change the panel/version code for the tv ONLY, they would face severe logistic problem & also totally screw up the repair job of any sort of panel replacement if any such situation arises under warranty period,..coz afaik, 's' panels cannot be replaced with 'a' pnels & vice versa...so i think they might not take such Faltu risk just for apparently satisfying some disgruntled customers with a aa or cn panel..rather they might just refund your money in full...as they asked me in my case!...so i think u can be quite safe if the sticker at the side says a sqxx...
..whatever,this is just my take of a familar situation as yours with No disclaimer of being the absolute best knowledge...
...GOOD...that someone..brought this point up for discussion!

Its a panel lottery like a new car tyres. Companies can't promise you a better panel, however escalating may help. I believe SQ01 is the best panel Samsung offered last year, however not sure if it is available for lower than Series 7 models.

plz search the different posts, there were/are Sq01 panels in 6 or even 5 series & ppl /buyers have confirmed them....actually they were more available in the first run of production in 2010,...they got rarer as the product line is to close replaced with 2011 year models by the next month.Samsung india now seems to appear installing more of the aaxx panels or even the cnxx panels which is supposed to be even more crap.! Prices for the respective models have decreased & so has their initial quality!

Question same as "Sgajjala" ..... My TV is 4 months old and still under warranty. Do they replace?

@Sgajjala: What is the version of your TV?

For the uninitiated, Samsung has a panel lottery policy for their LCD lineup. Which means, if you walk into a store and pick up a panel, you might end up getting an average, mediocre or an awesome panel! In essence, based on the type of panel technology used in the LCD, you may end up getting an A-MVA panel, S-MVA panel or a S-PVA panel depending on the version number mentioned on a small sticker on the right side of the LCD. The good thing is based on the version number, you can find out the panel you are getting. The bad thing is, as long as the seal of the box is Not broken and the TV is Not taken outside you cannot find out the version number! Some retail outlets may let you pick and choose the LCD, some may not. Ensure that you get an SS/SQ based panel, since S-PVA offers superior contrast levels, deeper blacks, excellent color reproduction among the lot!

Here is a visual example:

This sticker can be found stuck on the side of the Tv,...here as above we see/find a "SQ" version which denotes that the Tv has a SPVA panel!

Similarly,we can find the version number and the type of panel corresponding to it:

SS01 /02,03,04/ or SQ01 (02,03,04) S-PVA from Samsung
CN01, CN02 - S-MVA from CMO
BN01 ,BN02 (05,06,07) - S-MVA from CMO
??01 (02,03,04),?C02(04)- A-MVA from AUO
AC02 - new panel A-MVA3 from AUO

In quality Spva>Amva>Smva!!!

Hope,this would be useful!
