Hello
I have a Panasonic BD-55 that I would like to make region free for DVDs. I understand that you need a Logitech Harmony Universal remote to do this. May I ask if someone in Bangalore has one that I could use to do this please. Thanks!

Why not make it region free by firmware update? Else check for codes in videohelp.com. But I believe that you will at least need AllForOne remote.

I am not sure what the above means. I have only read that the machine can be hacked via the harmony universal remote easily (and luckily one forum member has offered to lend one to me). Are the other ways of hacking that you mention something I can do with the machine's remote? How does one get a firmware update which removes the region codes please?

Send me your email id by pm. All-for-one is a different remote. Google it.

Hi Staxxx

Could you make your player region free using universal remote? Any idea if universal remote can be used to make Panasonic BDT 220 region free for dvd playback?

Regards, Amit

Thanks Staxxx,

Also wanted to check if you could unlock your bd player with the universal remote.

Regards, Amit

Sorry not sure about that either, as I haven't tried as yet. We are going to try this weekend to hack it with the Logitech remote.
