Dear Friends,

I am being planned to purchase the Intgd Amp Hk980, Spkr Polk audio Tsi 200, Cd player cambridge audio 350C, for improve my music. Anybody tell me, the selection is right or refer the right one. my usage is 100% music only and my budget is around 50K

Thanks

I have never demo'd any of the components mentioned in your post. What type of sound signature do you prefer? Warm/neutral/bright? If you are just planning to set up your first Hi-Fi, please go through the forum before deciding anything in haste.

There is a combo of Marantz PM5004 (Amp) + CD5004 (Cd Player) in hifimart for 30K. This should give you a nice balanced source and amplification. With the remaining 20K You can scout for a good bookshelf speaker that matches the source and amp.

Dear Cruise1982

Thanks for yr suggestions, and absolutely right as u tell i am just planning to setup my first hi-fi. but, i dont like the marantz pm5004 combo music.

HK amps are usually paired with JBL speakers (both are made by Harman group). Have you thought of JBL speakers?

Have you actually heard the combo you want to buy or have you reached the plan after reading on net? If you have heard it and liked it (after hearing at least 10 different combinations), then buy it. If the decision is just after reading on net , then let me give you the advice given everywhere on the forum,"Do not buy anything before you audition it with your own favorite music collection in a decent listening room"!

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
