anybody heard these - either the 2 or 3 models?

so much good press about them.

I heard the Aon3 in mumbai with some Rotel gear.
Very balanced and natural.
They go really deep for a bookshelf.
But they are not fun/lively.
I really liked them but for the price (1L+) i am sure there are many good options.

Dali mentor menuet, Amphion Ion+, Guru junior to name a few.
These i find will be a tad more interesting but totally depends on what you are looking for.

i was actually going to buy a single driver speaker for my SET amp, but this one caught my eye.

the single driver speaker i wanted to buy (omega) will atleast take a month for me to get. at almost the same cost i can get the aon immediately here in singapore.

the aon's high sensitivity, great reviews, innovative design, unusual (but attractive) looks have caught my attention/imagination.

but i wanted to have the SET/single driver combo (which is considered the magical combo) - as distinct from my solid state systems.

so a cat on the wall at the moment ...

but i will be going to hear the aon tomorrow. so ...

btw the aon 2 and 3 cost only usd $800 and $1000. in singapore it is only marginally higher. not sure why the mark up is so so so high in desh. sucks to be a audiophile in india i guess.

True that.

Did you hear them? How did you find them?

The stereophile measurements of the Aon 2 measures 86db with impedance dips of up to 3.5 ohms. Not sure if it will partner well with low power amps.

The Aon 3 has a larger cabinet though so might perform better with lower wattage amps.

I've briefly heard the Omegas and they are such lovely speakers!
