hello to all
i will appreciate ur help as i am very novice in this field,
i have a 5.1 home theater that i need to upgrade to 7.1, but i don't know what speaker i should go for and whether they should be back or side speakers
my system details
receiver: Yamaha RX-V667
speakers: Jamo S426HCS3
Sub-woofer: Jamo SUB 260

and i wonder if my receiver can handle a higher class of speakers

many thanx for ur help

What is your budget ?

I don't think you need to replace your speakers. Just add another pair of S420SUR as back speakers and your system is 7.1 (although I don't know how much useful will that be, there is hardly any 7.1 channel content out there).

If you still want to upgrade your complete speaker set, go for the Dali Ikon 6 + Vokal 2 + On-Wall or Ikon 1 as surround & rear. My 471 is able to drive Ikon 6 + Concept Center + Focal 706 surrounds to loud levels in a 10m by 6m room. Your Yamaha 667 should be able to do even better.

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
