Help Reg: Voltage stabilizer for my home theatre

Hi,

I have yamaha yht 597 HTiB from US, so i'm using a 1.5 KVA isolation step down transformer. Can you guys suggest me a voltage stabilizer and also instruct me on how to choose the voltage stabilizer.

The safer way to go is buying a 'servo' based voltage stabilizer. It will be costlier, but stay way from cheaper 'relay based' voltage stabilizer.

How is the power supply condition in your city? How much is your equipment worth and then calculate if you want to buy a servo.

The best kind of stablizer in erratic power supply conditions is obviously servo based. You might have to keep in another room though since it makes noise.

I don't use any stablizer but just a power supply unit that has a high and low voltage cut-off.

I have a servo voltage stabilizer and it is not that noisy that one can not enjoy music. Very occasional noise and that also in small scale. But if you feel you need complete silence then install it at another room.
