Hi,
I am looking to buy a home theater setup at around 40k.
I came across denon x510bt with sys 5.1 speakers of denon and dealer is quoting 45000 for this package. Wanted to know whether this price is fair and also any other good choices at this price points.

Please also let me know how is denon as a brand when compared to onkyo.

Thanks in advance....

Hi

The price seems to be almost in line with the market competitive rates, there is no harm in checking out prices with other dealers online or located in the area.....the key to any system is t audition the same with your own ears and see what appeals to you. We can recommend a series of brands...the first decision you need to make is what all features / connectivity / power output you expect from an AVR and what type of speakers you want.

The best is for you to check on special offers available online as well as with home theatre dealers also check Reliance Digital / Vijay Sales etc...with the festive season around ..there are bound to be some great deals....

both denon and onkyo are v good brands. If networking feature is a must then i feel that the ba soundware xs + denon avr-x500 will be a very good package. Ba XS can be had for about 23k and x500 for 22k I have myself brought the x500. The denon sys5.1 is really not worth the price considering the fact that the ba is also available at around the same price. The ba xs will easily trash the denon sys 5.1. Try for an audition amd then decide. Please give more details as previously mentioned above

only x510bt has networking features right? Bluetooth enabled.
Bangalore price is around 35k.

Yamaha RX-V377 is also around the same price 33K if networking is not needed.

im so sorry i meant to say that if network features are not so important then you take denon x500. but if its a must then you can look at x510bt. but dont buy the sys5.1 speakers

dear sir, any specific reason to dont buy sys 5.1 speakers i already shortlist this please reply

If you have really auditioned other brands then only you will be able to tell the difference. You can check at reliance digital who offer marantz avr along with boston acoustics for 50k. if you pair the boston acoustics soundware xs with denon avr-x500 it will be approx 45k. This one will be much better than the denon sys 5.1 speakers. However if you like the sys 5.1 you can get them along with the x510 avr as the price of 45k is very good
