Hi all.
I'm fed up with the junk that YouTube shows kids, even with YouTube kids and a lot of content restrictions , and I'm fed up of the losing battle I've been facing with YouTube's recommendation algorithm which is more opt out than opt in
I have a ryzen tiny pc I'm planning to repurpose as a media center, and rip a bunch of kids DVD i have to it so that they can watch.
What is an easy to use front end for them to basically navigate the dump on my HDD - will need to show thumbnails of the video as i probably will not get to name all the videos correctly, and the kids also prefer to watch videos based on the thumbnails.
No YouTube but will need voice search as that's what the kids are comfortable with.
I imagine kodi might work, but open to alternatives.
Also any guide on how to set up kodi would also help. The last time i tried kodi the UI was too elaborate
