I am planning to buy ONKYO 3500 before Nov end. Best price I got is 26500, if we have more guys we might get a good deal. Do we have anyone interested in buying this from Delhi, hope we can get it for 25000.

Chk out this link.....Onkyo-3500 is available for 16.6k (along with a free DVDP) in Dubai vs. 26.5k in Delhi....what a rip-off!! :sad:

A frnd who works for this store told me abt this offer but I missed the opportunity as he is already bk now. So dont think its a lucrative deal anymore as....20kg shipping + International warranty will round up to same I guess :sad:

It's so sad how its 13000 Rs abroad and 25-28k in india. More than double the cost. The dealers must be making a good bit of profit off them pricing them 28k under ruppee depreciation excuse.

It is the will of the politicians what they feel "they ought to have" and "the masses ought not to have".

But I guess that you are not aware that there was a time when customs duty was a whopping 255%.

At the same time, electronics is cheapest in US, even cheaper than places like UAE, Singapore, Thailand, etc. So why compare with US? For instance, the Onkyo HTS-3505 in UK is 349.00 and that is much same as the price in India.

Hi all,

I am glad I stumbled upon the forum. Just reading all your comments and opinions have help me a alot in making up my mind. Im a total noob when it comes to Home theater systems, but after going through a few threads its helped me immensely.
I have now narrowed my selection down to Onkyo HTS 3500 Home Theatre or PIONEER HOME THEATRE SY HTP071.

Im planning to buy it either from Vijay sales or croma. I will be posting the links below. My budget is only 30k max 35. Want a HTS for all round use . movies, music, gaming ...

Any final words of wisdom guys .... anything will help...

The link for Onkyo is incorrect ... but i spoke to customer service for Onkyo and they said they can ship the 3500 to either VS or Croma and the price will be 1k more so Rs 28k. Dont mind the additional grand as I really need the USB port. I bending more towards Onkyo mainly because of the USB. My sister is an Ifreak. No offense to the Apple fans here.

Hi guys, today I visited a showroom of Onkyo and they told me the price of Onkyo 3500 is Rs. 30,000.
