My Gear Update:

Thanks to Denom's efforts (actually "efforts" is gross understatment), I can demo my latest aquisition > Audio-GD DAC-19, in the coming meet.

(Sridhar... I am gifiting this to myself, since my wife is getting the pre-Amp* ... so that takes care of diamonds ;-))

*Oh BTW the pre-Amp deal is done too! Alas the TVC won't be available during the meet.

I have a friend who is looking for either for a slim line AV/ amp like the Marantz 1402 ( or later ) model or a stright Intg amp with about 80-100 W output....

In fact, I too am on the look out for a pair of BS...with a lot of Bass in it: been told I can expect to hear some.

Denom/ co-ordinators, given that there is so much equip. being brought, do I need to get my Klipsch ?

We ( Myself , Denom, Santy & Hariiyer planning a tavera / sumo sharing to pune. We have 3 more seats . It will be leaving early in the morning from Sanpada ( very close to Vashi) ,Navi Mumbai. Reg address > Between me and Denom, either among us will distribute the email having address two days before the meet.

Reg bookshelves having bass > what is your budget?

Reg getting Klipsch > More choices never hurt OTOH we should avoid problems of plenty. I request you be prepared to get it. I'll be discussing this with Denom and convey final demo-schedule to all, to plan accordingly.

Looks like a lotta units are at disposal for the meet. Hope you would be able to co-ordinate such a 'mass'!

Anyway, after the auditions on the speakers and amps get over, try and do some kinda comparison on the inter-connects available by selecting a specific combo of any speaker and amp, IF POSSIBLE. Saying so, since I was agast at the difference in sound quality 'just' by switching to different ICs. A difference going upto the 20% mark was difficult to digest!

Very true... I experienced the same difference when changed my IC's from Audioquest Snake to Audioquest Sidewinder. All the same I am bewildered by this. A conductor is a conductor, right?... as long as it is free from impurities (read resistance...) all conductor's ought to sound the same

Yes... IC demo shall also be explored within demo-schedule. Picture would be clear by Thursday...
