Anybody interested in this "Thumb PC" device based MK802 II? It costs $50, and providing you full android experience with WiFi browsing etc. when you plug it into a HDMI display, and use (wireless) keyboard/mouse. Search for "Rikomagic MK802 II New Generation Mini Android 4.0 PC Google TV Box HD IPTV Player".
The interesting thing is, that this has Audio setting that can be set to either HDMI or SPDIF. The latter is actually via USB port (On-The-Go USB port). And I have successfully connected DAC (i.e. ODAC) and driven the speakers, and it is indeed quite a good quality of music on the cheap.
[My only problem is this: I connect its HDMI output to the Marantz receiver (as one of the source). But I am unable to select analog audio with this source - discarding the HDMI audio. So I have to connect DAC's output to another source's analog output, and so either I can see the display or listen to audio.]
