Hi all,
great group activity and collective bargaining.
Nice reading the postings --- extremely happy with Forum rules esp. about being "courteous " with the blogs.

I am looking for an entry level system with Denon 1612 AVR . Haven't been able to decide on the speakers. Will grtly appreciate if someone can guide me to a real theater sound in my living room (25ftX141/2ft) within about Rs.35 to 40K.
Should I go in for a pair of floor standers and a subwoofer and add on satellites / center surrounds later on or go for a compromise 5.1 home theater system ( if so which one ). Obviously , by now ,you must :ohyeah:have made out that I have a long way to go before calling myself an audiophyle.
Cheers

Thanks,Spiro. Went through the lot & not any wiser. What's your opinion on " Pinnacle Quantum subsonic system". And, do all the US imported AVRs come with 110 V/60 Hz supply? How to get around this -- the transformer has got to meet the power demand and have enough reserve !!! I am looking at Denon 1612 coming for $249( yet to confirm shipping; customs duty may not be applicable if the overall item cost is kept belowRs.25k).

You can get a converter in Local market too.
SHAH ELECTRONICS - Transformer
I didnt hear " Pinnacle Quantum subsonic system" & without listening,I will not advice to purchase blindly.Energy tech classic is a good option & you can check energy speakers locally(demo).

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
