Hifi Rack

I really liked the wood ones. Will it be possible to have some sort of cable management system in this? I will be interested in a group buy.
Thanks and bets wishes

youre not alone

a couple clients also had the same request

yes a cable mgt arrangement is being developed

that rack is gonna be completely modular!
were gonna try and do an "ikea" the soundfoundation way

we will be targetting the budget series with this new entrant
(however please note : Many guys who know me know full well that my definition is budget series is VALUE for money as opposed to a cheap alternative)

i refuse to build somethin at a definite price or to compete with chinese offerings or mass produced off the rack furniture
i tend to engineer the rack the best i can - the only way i know how
if it turns out good value then thats just a bonus

some pics
of another custom version of the wood rack done for a doc in mumbai

He has also opted to go for a complete Soundfoundations solution for isolation as well as power cables

This has also come up very well, very nice and neat look.

It seems you have used the ready panels this time to make the shelves.

Regards, Amit

crosstalk
thats not glass above

thats Plexi
i tend to use plexi since it offers a neutral tone and also is unbreakbale

Glass i use too
but thats only when clients are on a budget
(though many a time when you add SAFE shipping costs of glass - you tend to kick yourself later asking why you didnt use plexi in the first place )

But to answer your question
Yes
clear glass can be done
toughened and bevelled if you need

you will have to mail me

I received a SoundFoundations Gamma Rack and a custom Gamma Pedestal yesterday from magma (Ali). Excellent craftsmanship, as always. The racks came packed very well, and with the necessary accessories.

I wasn't quite sure how the design of the pedestal should be, and I had given Ali just the dimensions of the two amp bodies and my basic requirements based on my space constraints. I'm very happy with what Ali made for me!

I really appreciate that many small details have been very well though out from the user's perspective. I've previously bought a pair of SAL Alif stands, a Theta Pedestal, and a Barracuda Power Distribution box from SoundFoundations and I can say that Ali's work gets better and better!

did you think about the matching
or its just turned out by luck

because man
the wooden tops match the rethums pretty well the black frames match your equipment really well too

Had you thought about all this when you ordred
or has it turned out by luck ?

anyway

glad youre happy

and credit goes to you for all the details
You didnt push me timewise

and so all small things could be done

when a client pushes me time wise
i never have time to go out of the way for him

^^ I did think of the colour matching :)

Since already I had a Theta Ref Pedestal with me, I know the colours would definitely go well with the gear.

Great stuff there Hydra. They go absolutely perfect in your setup. Great craftsmanship.

Where did the TT stand go?

Thank you, RP! :)

A friend was very interested in it. I dropped it off at his place just yesterday, so he could try it with his Ayon CD2s CDP.

He also has space issues in his room, so he wanted to see if it will work in his space. Coincidentally enough, he also has a Rethm setup (he now uses Rethm Saadhanas, Rethm Gaanam Amps and Rethm Cables).
