Hisense TVs India Price and availability - Blocked by Hisense!

Off beat question, as I see most guru available here
I am buying toshiba 43” 5050 ( new model) with vidaa for my parents room with no Tata sky wire can I download Tata sky app to watch all channels live ? If vidaa is same as android ?

I'm interested in towhiba u80 do you think it's exactly H9G? I'm seriously considering this model
Even I’m interested in u80 as well. Honestly I don’t care it’s h9g or not. If it performs as per the specs at 1 lakh then its a great buy. I think we should remove h9g from our mind. What we r getting in India is u8080 and if it perform well , reviews are good then we should definitely consider this tv.

if you want to side load apps and want Disney HotStar ect then VIDAA is not capable of that, may be in the future they will add disney hotstar and other Indian streaming services.

I think they will reduce the price of Hisense U7qf in the future if no one buys it, I was waiting for the price to go down till now but they were stubborn, but definitely it will go down in a couple of months. India would have welcomed Hisense if they had given their best TV's at the best price possible but that didn't happen.

Ordered the Toshiba 55u7980 from flipkart.
Wife approval factor came in the way of 65 incher.
So, had to forgo the u8080.

I am getting married soon and reading this sort of comments really sinks my heart. If a freaking TV needs wife approval how am I suppose to explain consoles, games and gpu's. She does know that I game like crazy on PC.
Do not take this the wrong way, I mean no disrespect to anyone.

I've also been eyeing the U7QF for a while now. But the price never came down despite bad sales. I haven't seen any reviews in India (user/professional). Plus as a living room TV, we watch a lot of DTH SD content as well and that looks really crappy on a 65 incher. Wish they had a 55 inch too.

Anyone knows the number of zones in u8080 also? U8080 got local dimming pro . What’s the difference between local dimming pro and local dimming?

Anyone has a clue on the number of dimming zones in the 55 inch U79?

It seems to be based on Hisense H8F, so the 55" should have 56 dimming zones, 65" should have 60 dimming zones.

Assuming it's based on U8QF/H9G, it should have 132 for the 55"(not available in India at the moment) and 180 for 65".

. What’s the difference between local dimming pro and local dimming?

More zones, better algorithm. Well, more zones also allow you to use better algorithms, so it's all related.

If it's indeed H9G then 132 for 55" and 180 for 65". Counting the actual dimming zones of a TV is very easy if one has the TV. There are pattern test with a white block running along the vertical and horizontal axis. One just have to count the number of backlight fluctuation the block moves from one zone to other. I really hope members here who have purchased it gives us the number for U7980 when they receive their set. For U8080 we have to wait for it's launch and then members revealing the number of zones. Anyway I am betting on U7980 and U8080. I will book U7980 for my parents room today and U8080 whenever it launches for my room. Initially I were to buy LG C9 but now for less than it's price I can get two TV with U8080(if it's H9G) giving me 95% black level of C9 and almost twice bright as C9G without risk of burn in.

56 is great considering Q80R has 50 and I think X9500G also has 50.

Another thing to consider is Hi-view engine of Hisense vs Cevo engine of Toshiba. It might be that the Cevo engine won't be as good as the Hi-view, which would affect PQ in general.

So finally we get to see toshiba tv in real this thread has gone so long without the actual thing please post when ever u get time with reveiw & some pics
