Hi,

You can try the AV max Demo DVD. It came out with the Sep or Oct 2008 edition. It is mostly used to test your LCD TV, but can also be used to test home theatre systems.

Baically it has various movie clips that tests different aspects like motion, contrast, White balance, surround sound, etc etc. Pretty good stuff.

hi,did you like the AVmax demo dvd ,i got this too but found it to be very ordinary stuff ,it really lacked the punch and feel like the other demo dvds i have (the one with clippings from master and commanders, transporter,haunted,kill bill, hero, spanish radio, lord of the rings ,,etc etc,,) i thot even the video transfer was poor

AV Max demo disc was totally crap, the video quality was horrendous. It looked more like a gimmicry on their part rather than providing and true value to its readers.

hi, i totally agree with you it was total crap,they really took us for a RIDE!!!! in fact after the very first viewing (jst for a couple of mins ) i sent the disc straight to the THRASH CAN,,,,,,,was really surprised at all the write up on it in the issue!!!!!!

Yeah agree pal. They had the some audacity to do a write up on that piece of trash. That makes it all the more agonising.

I would recommend you to download this stuff from the torrent,
i have a very good collection of THX DD DTS demo discs,which i downloaded via torrent.Infact the time i went to audition a HT,the guy in e-zone copied one of my collection,and he is still running it in home town e-zone,HYD

If you guys want i can PM the links for you.Just Download and burn it to a good DVD-R.

I searched all over web before posting this. I am looking for the home theater demo DVDs (in bangalore) which they typically play in the stores to test 5.1 DTS and other surround features.
