Home Theatre System with USB and 3.5mm jack support

Hi All,

Im planning to buy my first home theatre system. My requirements are to connect it to my LED TV and to the music collection on PC/Laptop. I liked Yamaha YHT-196 a lot but learned there is no provision for USB or traditional 3.5mm jack. Can you please suggest if I can still go for YHT-196(with some workarounds) or Is there any similar product satisfying above requirements?

Check newer version of Yamaha YHT 296 or later. Also check denon HTiB (denon 1312XP)

Thanks agupta20. I enquired about the USB thing with Vijay sales guy and he said if I buy a bluray player with USB port I can still go with yht 196. Is this practical workaround?

YHT 196 is old model ...if u can extend ur budget u can go for YHT 299 which is having more features .. otherwise try ONKYO HTS 3500 .In Denon entry level HT version dont have USB option but 3.5mm jack will be available... in order to connect Laptaop u may require HDMI cabel for that..
