How do i stream Amazon Prime?

Hello Members,
First of all my apologies for coming running to the forum only when i need help. Truth be told, i am not an expert on AV issues and hence my lame excuse. Now that is out of the way, may i enumerate my issue?

I have a home theatre system configured as under:

I am able to stream Netflix through the SONY Blu Ray player. Question is how do i stream Amazon prime in this system?

The second issue i have is that i am a SAP ( Serious Amateur Photographer- what did you think i meant?:lol and i like to see some of my photographs on the HT system. Issue is that the Denon does not recognise the MAC and my photographs are in MAC. I tried installing a media server (PLEX) but it is not enjoyable. The aspect ratio, changes and the quality erodes.
Would appreciate help and sugesstions to improve the HT system too.

Easiest route - get a kindle firestick and add it to your denon. It can stream AP very easily

The difficult route - Link your PC to your denon, either directly or through miracast, and enjoy AP. There is a possibility that you may lose audio/video quality - you will have to figure it out yourselves


Photographs - copy them to a USB and enjoy

Chromecast does not have support but mobile screen cast works for me. Its bit annoying to keep running on your mobile but my usage are limited.

AP is not supporting chromecast, so you will have to rely on amazon firestick

So were you able to accomplish your application eventually?

I am using a Android TV box, Mini8IIS installed prime video app and it is working perfectly fine.
no 5.1 audio though with Prime till now.
Since you want photographs also to be streamed without any loss of quality ; buying a bigger HDMI cable and connecting the PC to AVR seems to be a better choice for you.

If you already have a iPhone or iPad, just get the Apple TV and do the airplay.

If you have a chromecast in your system and your photos are uploaded to google photos, The "Google Home" app allows to customize the background of chromecast. One can choose one/multiple albums from the google photos and chromecast will display a picture randomly.

AP India works alright.

So were you able to accomplish your application eventually?

Not yet. Had a bereavement in the family and was out of communication for 3 weeks.

I now can stream AP india through the SONY TV. How do i install AP in the SONY Blu Ray player?

Update:
Talked to SONy and Amazon. Both confirmed that Amazon Prime Video would NOT be available in other devices except Samsung and Sony TVs, Android, IOS. Not yet on Blu Ray players.
Update 2: Amazon Prime Video NOT working on Sony Bravia TVs and the app crashes. Withdrawn till further notice.

It doesnt work. You get the error 5505 when playing any video.

Primevideo simply sucks. you are stuck with watching it on computer or iPad. Android TV box not working. I am surprised it is not working for Sony Android TV also ? They had an update on Jan 25th that rendered the app useless.

Yep. Still not working. Had a chat with their customer services. They have no clue when the bug would be put right.

Has anyone been successful in streaming AP from HTPC in HD?
I am unable to play in HD.
It says my computer hardware, HDMI cables and display all must meet HDCP requirements.
I have a HTPC connected to Marantz Prepro to Benq projector.

That is strange. SONY Bravia is also on the android platform, but it does not work there.

Mine is 55W800D.
And yes, some movies can be seen and some still don't load. Yeh dil hai muskil does load.
Any pointers on how to install skype?
