Htib<25k......help required...fast!!

@igp 79, I have pmed you as well and thank you for the help. and i think with flexibility that a htib like 3300 offers, im gonna stick with it. Right now i have the basic logitech destop speakers and any speakers would sound wow compared to em...lol. Also i dont think i can stretch my budget to 40k!! At 23k if im getting a good HT and an ok music set up, im kool with that. And i can upgrade the front speakers as well right in the future???
@yogesh i think the philips you have mentioned are good but the factor of upgrade in the future is gone plus when i auditioned the philips and compared with onkyo.....the onkyo was a clear winner in my opinion.....bass wise and overall sound.....but thank you for the help appreciate it.

hi Shivkumar,

Although you have a big room, if you want to go for an HTiB in the specified budget, you could consider Denon DHT 390.

regards,
Abhishek

Ok now that it is confirmed that 3300 is not available in blore . I was looking at Phillips HTS 5560/51 3D angled speakers with Blu-ray Disc player 37 k MRP , and dump the idea of buying samsung HD DVD .all comes to the same cost . Does any one here have audition the HTS 5560/51 ,Request you all to kindly suggest me if this is a good idea

Philips - Home theater 3D Angled Speakers Blu-ray Disc playback - HTS5560/51 - 5.1/7.1 Home theatres - Home theatre - Sound and vision

Thank u spirovious.... what are the things which can make a hts 3200 better for music??..... let me know coz im new to the ht world!!

I changed speaker cables to Supra,Use Xonar D2X(PC)as source,good interconnects,added Tannoy F1 BS.Thats it.It sounds better than original.

320kbps mp3 support and mkv playback are looking good in this HTIB but there is no flac format support and no hdmi input as well as Digital optical input. The actual output power only 30W per channel that means total 150W RMS only (considering Receiver has 75% efficiency).Speakers also 3 ohm rated so you can't use these speakers with any other receiver.

Re: HTiB within 25-30k

Its unfortunate that even high range model by Philips does not offer HDMI input. Thats a big show stopper considering if you want to connect devices like XBOX/PS3/Wdlive.....

I think Onkyo 3300 is the only start up model which offers HDMI input and that's a great value add.
