I want to buy a 5.1 Home Theater System, need suggestions .

Hi,

I want to buy a 5.1 Home Theater System. After a brief research, I have decided to buy Edifier DA500 PRO or F&D F6000U. Can anyone please help me to decide which one will be a better option.F&D F6000U has an USB option while DA500 PRO does not. I have not much idea which one will be woth buying or if there is any other option within the range of Rs 12k (at max 15k).

Try to stretch your budget upto 25k else you wont be able to find decent 5.1 HT system. You can look at basic HTiB package from Onkyo 3400 and Denon 1312 for ard 25k. I would advice you to wait patiently until u save up enough dough then get a good one. Other options available around 15k is Logitech Z5500 and Z906.

Edifier and F&D have very good reviews, but what they lack is connectivity options - just 5.1 analog input and may be a couple of 2 channel aux in. There is no hdmi, optical or coaxial inputs. If you want to use a blu-ray player or hd dth box then you will surely miss these inputs. So better wait and buy a good htib like Onkyo 3500 later. For around 23K there is a pioneer model also. Yamaha 196 is priced around 20K.
