Jamo Sub 200 Power Plug - 16amp

I got the sub today after doing the audition with the yamaha receiver. It is actually a demo piece and I was able to get at a good bargain. Now the problem is that on the power plug it says 16amps so do I need to have the 16amps plug in my living room. The power plug pins that came with the sub is suitable only with the 16amp plug on the switch board. Or can I connect another power cable with normal pins. Will this create any problem.

Ok I connected my pc power cable and it worked without any issues. So I can go ahead use this cable right without any power issues. In fact my first impression is just awesome when I played the Tangled DTS-HD audio. The bass is crisp and I think I need to make some more adjustments on the phase and crossover settings.
