Landmark Sale

Ha ha:). Somehow work took me to Bangalore, Chennai & Hyderabad this week, so managed to buy stuff everywhere!

So did you ever visit your office at Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad? Or did you spend the whole day at landmark? :ohyeah: :D

Kidding!

3 day trip to Chennai, hence time to visit all 4 Landmarks!:)
Thankfully no excess baggage- a fairly significant hit to the credit card though.
I think they're exiting the music business- the Kraftwerk box set was not on sale. I asked them to put it on sale, since nobody in Hyderabad was ever likely to buy it (no offence to Hyderabad dwellers:) ) and the guy promptly put a 70% sticker on it and handed it over. An LP box sized box set with 8 CDs inside for a 1000 bucks!

I think they're getting into an all vinyl model after reading up on all the vinyl vs cd debates on our forum and looking at the number of members who are getting into vinyl :p

Even Flipkart is very fast with delivery but not so prompt with customer support (I experienced it)... the customer support of WWCDRoms, a PC game publishing company is even worse.

It's time Amazon entered the fray.. that perhaps will change the Indian customer support people ("Goods once sold will not be taken back [which otherwise means once you pay me I don't give a shit..if not you I will get another customer"] attitude) the "VALUE" of a client and how important it is to retain a customer.

More likely Amazon will learn or be taught that the India customer is worth less ...

I got Linkin Park double vinyl record set for 70% off at Landmark. Paid 450 Rs for the same. :yahoo: Got Rudaali vinyl in the saving. Also Dark Side of the Moon UK, last copy off the shelf w/o any discount.

Went to Landmark yesterday, noticed that they have moved from giving 50-70% off to giving CD's away at INR 49/99/199! Going there again to pick up a few more CD's!

49 rupees it is now, plus of course the usual 70% off. I picked up 12 albums for Rs 416 yesterday, including an ECM title with sticker price of Rs 690.

Wharfedale Linton Heritage Speakers in Walnut finish at a Special Offer Price. BUY now before the price increase.
