Hi friends,
For the first time I am venturing into tv part of the forum. I am quite content with the audio part and now want to upgrade video part. Have some cash to spare. So decided to spend on tv/flat panel. At present I am using viewsonic 22"LCD Monitor that can go upto 720p definitely and may be upto 1080i. It is quite good but bit small. Besides that the on off switch is giving problems now. It doesnt have a remote.
Budget 30-35k.
Viewing distance 7'.
Content: 2 movies per week(one for kids and the other not for kids).mostly DVD Sometimes Vcd. Not planning for blu ray anytime soon.
Source:Marantz dv4001 which has humble HDMI 1.0 Version.
I do not own any set top box/cable tv and neither planning to get one for next 5 years.
Least interested in sound quality of the tv.
Please tell me what options do i have. After reading a bit through some threads, i think i should go for 32" screen. If i can get LED Panel 32" with VGA & Hdmi/dvi in without any audio component,that will be my first choice.
If such a thing is not available then usual sony/samsung/lg/pana/toshiba.
Wife yet to agree but will manage that part in all probability.
