LG 42" LB750T - Any reviews/feedback

You have to demo them both and then decide. Watch same videos on both in same mode and see which one looks more life-like. I'm sure LG will stand out a bit coz Sony LEDs are bit over-saturated. But that's what I felt, you might find it different.

About the DVB-T2, it's Digital Video Broadcasting - 2nd Gen Terrestrial, quite a mouthful :p Simply put, remember when we used to watch Doordarshan and Metro on the aerial antenna ? That thing is now in-built in your TV which is smaller and it's now capable of receiving digital signals instead of analog. Now, you'll get HD channels on your TV through that antenna and without any set-top box. That's what I understood. I don't see why that's a priority if you already have a STB and space is not a problem for you, why would you go for DVB ?

They can be trusted, my friend bought Sony 42 w650 last year. His colleagues as well bought couple of TVs last year. So no worries about barrons

Thanks cptkamal !!!

I have purchased LG 47 LB6700 from Barrons with a good price. LB750t was my initial choice , but i didn't find much diff between these 2 Tvs.
The only diffs are Dynamic MCI (Hz) : 800 (200Hz) (LB750t) vs 700 (200Hz) (LB6700 ) and Terrestrial DVB-T2 feature in (LB750t) . DVB-T2 is not useful as of now.

As the price diff was 7k less , i preferred LB6700 .

Installation will take another 1/2 days. Will update more on it later.

Hey PRS how much did you pay..hows the tv doing? Have you tried true motion and real cinema picture options?

After waiting for almost a yearfinally got a 47" LG LB 750 t.:yahoo: I was initially planning for LG LA 6910 But could not go for it. But finally the wait is over. And best part is that, I got second generation TV.(I.e. 2014 model

I got it for 92.50 k @ Vijay Sales Pane. I find this as the best offer in Pune. Getting delivery by Saturday 23rd August. MRP is 1.1 lacs. Flipkart is offering for 93.9k.

I have demoed this TV And found it amazing. Best in class Video Quality and Super viewing angles. 3D is speech less. Full on "paisa wasool"

I wanted to buy LG 42LB750T from pune, can you specify which vijay sales you purchased the tv and did you bargain or tat was the quoted price they gave you.

Hey Ujjwal,
I purchased the tv from Vijay Sales Pune Solapur Road. It is besides CROMA mall. I had to bargain a lot. The price that was quoted was Rs. 1,10,900/-. I also enquired the CROMA for their last quote which was 95K. When I told Vijay Sales the same, they gave me competitive pricing of 94K. And finally under exchange of old Samsung CRT TV they settled at 92.5K.

Hope you have opted for Extended Warranty also !?

This TV has DVB-T2 which means that we can view free to air channels without the need for a DTH or cable connection. But what I want to know is that, how much of a positive feature is this in reality? Actually, I will be making my first purchase of a TV and till now I was getting my job done through internet streaming. So, if I buy this TV, will there be a need for me to buy DTH or cable connection or will the job be done with this DVB-T2? Someone told me that even Airtel DTH and Tata Sky DTH have DVB-T2 built in their set top boxes so I can enjoy both free to air and paid channels if I go for either one of them. Would someone explain these technicalities of transmission please? I have decided to buy either this TV or the Sony W900A which does not have DVB-T2, so this is the reason I want to know in detail about it. Thank you

Today checked the Barons price for 42LB750T is 68.5K :yahoo:

I just picked up this TV last week from barrons for 67k, the TV is really great. The PQ is awesome.

Kamal, can you write some of the reviews about this one especially on the black levels. Still im in dilema whether to go with it or not.

I was very much impressed with the black levels, the colors of the TV are fantastic. I would suggest you to demo the TV and take a decision.

Among these two 6700 and 750T, which one is released recently... bcoz i wanted to go with the latest... In LG site only 6700 shows as NEW... not the 750T... Kindly help...? Planning for this week end...

I think its LB6700 but, i'm not sure...
However you should not worry about the release because both these 6700 & 750T are LB series means 2014 models with hardly 2-3months gap between releases. you need to look for diff in spec & PQ between them, demo them side by side and decide (well u know that).

If possible wait till Dassehra or Diwali, you may get big discounts or freebies.

Hi Friends, I am also planning to buy either 6700 or 750T. I am confused between the two. 6700 is cheaper only with two differences when compared to 750T. Dynamic MCI (Hz) : 800 (200Hz) (LB750t) vs 700 (200Hz) (LB6700 ) and Terrestrial DVB-T2 feature in (LB750t) . And the price difference is a huge 7k as mentioned by one of our friend earlier in this thread. Its better to wait till dussehra for further reduction in price along with goodies (freebies). We can also plan to go together posing as friends to get a further discount.

Hi Jingalala

I myself was a little confused between 42LB6700 and 42LB750t, but have decided to go ahead with 750t, as it looks so much better than 6700. Also, I am surprised by the high prices mentioned by other members in the forum as I have got a quote of Rs. 74k for this model. In this price I am also getting a Free Blu Ray player and a flexible wall mount (worth 7k if you buy from LG) as Navratri gifts. However, I don't plan to use the blu ray at all so have negotiated with the dealer to give me a further discount of Rs. 5k in lieu of the player.
I will be picking up the tv between today or tomorrow. Not to mention am super excited :)

Brother, @cptkamal picked it up last week from Barrons, Electronic City for 67k, and commented that the PQ is awesome.

And you are getting it at 74k - 5k = 69k (2k more)

Please try to negotiate further. I am also planning to purchase it. If we can go together as friends we can bring it down to 65 or 66k for sure. I am also not interested in the Free Blu Ray player that they are offering.
