Based on your preference, absolutely. If you want accuracy, just use accurate modes, Cinema, ISF or Technicolor modes at Warm 2 color setting and Color Gamut at Auto, OLED light based on ambient light, Brightness (black level) with a black slide, Gamma at 2.2 for bright rooms or 2.4 for mid/dark rooms, Trumotion to what you prefer...and that's it. You'll get really accurate picture, as confirmed by Rtings, Flatpanelshd and Avforums.

If you don't like accurate picture though, then you can play to your heart's content. lol

I'm using my own tweaked HDR as you must have read.

You don’t have to change the settings every time. Out of the box settings will do but will be in the warmer side. Picture will be accurate but won’t be vivid and may be pale for SDR. You will need to adjust only colour, motion and temperature according to you taste. HDR will be good enough without making any changes out of the box. You will find a lot of my posts here whining about something or the other due to the fact I am micro zooming and testing something constantly, so don’t let that confuse you. Most will be happy with out of the box settings.

One doubt , will LG installation/service guy will help to set the values during installation..? or we have to learn and do it ourselves.
I hope @Love4sound / @Marakk can help me on these settings. if i go for C9.

Settings isn’t rocket science and you shouldn’t worry much. The installation guys won’t know anything. I had no clue on what to do but with little help from google and mostly from Marakk I am all good now.

i am planning to visit showroom today or tomorrow , they told they dont have display unit of 55inch , but they have 65.
I am planning to take my HDD for checking the compatibility , please let me know is there any specific videos i need to carry to check the upscaling capability. and other important parameters.

Hard disk compatibility won’t be an issue. The show room demo units may have some issues. When I took my HD and pendrive in some demo units it didn’t work. And also I had a demo unit delivered first and the colours where washed out in Hdmi 2 port. But in my new unit I had no issue. Demo units will be in showroom mode which won’t be the accurate. Just take some of your favourite 1080p and 4k videos to check. First check 4k and HDR. Checking 1080p straight won’t give u a good opinion on the C9.

Oho , showrooms supposed to have units with perfect configuration to impress customers right..? it should not be otherway round right

No it’s the other way around. Showroom they just max out brightness, colours etc. Reset to factory settings in each mode and check. For SDR and HDR try technicolor picture mode.

Finally LG C9 65 got installed and let me know basic settings which i can start with and anything i need to look
First thing please check the usage hours and also confirm if it had a screen guard both front and back? What was the manufactured date?

Another question; did anyone manage to use the magic remote as a universal remote for av devices like a stereo amp? I had started another thread some time back asking the same seems nobody replied I would like to ask again here ! I neverfigured out how to switch between tv and my amp.

@Marakk : Just now near by showroom guy told , they are not having C9 as demo , instead they have E9 it seems. he told there is no difference other than extra soundbar , is it fine to check the demo on E9..? or they are bluffing

Totally fine. The panel and processor are indeed the same in C9 and E9. Only the glass design and soundbar is the difference. Nothing else.
