Hi All,

LG India has updated there 2014 Plasma models Plasma TVs: View Best Plasma Displays | LG India

Two new models introduced - 50PB560B (HD Model) & 50PB6600 (FHD + Smart)

Hopefully they will add a 60 incher Plasma For India :licklips: soon

50PB6600 looks a good deal....

Just wondering, with just a gap of 1K, who will want to go for 50PB560B? What was LG thinking....

I guess either of the pricing would be incorrect....

50PB6600 is priced around $700 in US... In India it is 63K... Fianl price should be around 58K Max...

60PB6600 is priced around $879 in US... Would be it roughly 80K in India, if @ all LG brings it to India....

hi,
has anyone bought pb6600? any review coments on it? PB 6600 is chepest plasma offering Full HD option, for samsung FHD plasma we need to spend around 75k+...

It's a plasma TV and it's FHD + Smart. I don't think you'll have any issue with it's PQ. As long as it's plasma, it's non-regrettable :) Demo it and then buy it eyes closed :) And if you want 3D, Samsung 51F5500.

Bought a Plasma LG 32" Model:32PC5RA 5 yrs ago, I still works fine prefer to my LCD.

I have the 60PB6600. It may not be Panasonic blacks, but much better than LCD's. Gives lot of calibration options and lets you dial in nice, natural colors. It also has picture wizard to set the brightness, contrast, and other video settings. Thought that was nice. I did not notice much Image burn or image retention. Whatever there is, goes away quickly. The other features are USB media player, wireless connectivity and whole lots of apps.

By the way, this is not a pentile display like Samsung 60" 5300 series. This is a full 1080p panel.

let me know if you have any questions.

Yes, living in US has its advantages for AV purchases.

Very precisely fits between windows :).. Was this default location for TV (or) you choose this place becoz it neatly fits within windows...

BTW what is your approx viewing distance from the screen...

Yes, this is the default location for the TV. It's above the fireplace. We had a 40" TV since 2007 at same location. That TV stopped recognizing any inputs except antenna so had to replace it. 60" is the max size we can accommodate here.

The viewing distance is about 18 ft. We have this tv mainly for watching kids shows during daytime. Our main viewing is the theater room. Even kids chose the theater room in evening instead of TV.

Great...Good choice for a TV...Obviously anyone would love big screen, kids will be delighted to watch in your HT room...
