Hello fellow-members !
i recently purchased a logitech harmony 300 universal remote. after struggling a bit with creating an account on myharmony.com and downloading the software (it wouldnt work for me on either FF, chrome, or IE 9.0), i was about to start configuring the remote, but the set-up screen just hangs up when you are asked to connect the remote to a USB port on your PC. searched on logitech forums, and tried out these steps too :
1. tried on various USB ports. the driver gets installed automatically, but still the set-up screen on myharmony.com doesnt move beyond 'connect your harmony' step.
2. tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software.
3. removed remote's batteries and had them replugged in.
4. tried installing the software in win xp SP3 compatibility mode too.
did all of these above, but to no avail. the 'next' button in the 'connect your harmony' screen simply doesnt get activated to be pressed (ie, doesnt change to blue colour from grey), even after waiting for half-an hour.
i have win 7 64-bit as my PC's OS, and the myharmony set-up runs ONLY on IE 32-bit; no other browser.
please advise, harmony users, where i might be going wrong. this already seems like a wasted purchase, after reading some feedback over logitech forum
kindly suggest....
thanks in advance !
