logitech z5500 critical problem, need help.

dear guys, i recently buy z5500 but i face two problem. first when i play some video then using ac3 filter and select spdif pass through then lt detect dts & dolby then when i close media player classic or stop the video then pc hang.but when not using spdif passthrugh then the sound is good but effect did not detect on control pod and effect not good.i unsinstall ac3 filter then reinstall but same problem happen again again.

second problem is in my room when i switch on/off light or fan then stop playing for 1/2 sec.i dont know why , i connected with ups but same things happen.but when i using older speaker but never happen.pls help

can you be more specific? what files did you play (is it 2 channel or DTS/AC3). What SW did you use? What HW etc). Only then we can help regarding the BSOD for OS.

Regarding UPS - check it out - btw why use UPS for the speakers on the first place - they may be drawing too much power form the UPS thats why.......what is the rating of the UPS and what is the computers HW specification?

i play mainly dts & dolby digital movie,mkv file movie.i use klite codec and my pc config : mobo - asus k8n, processor - amd athlon 3000+ 2.0GHZ,gpu - x1550pro Gecube,Ram - 2gb ddr,Smps - 450w,monitor - 17" samsung tft, OS - xp professional sp3.

playing 720p rips may hang your computer if you do not use the right decoder in MPC-HC. My othe rmachine is AMD venice 3000+ (same as yours ) on a k8MMV board + 1 gb ram and nvidia fx5200. MPCHC plays well - using the coreavc codec. Using ffdshow the CPU usage is high with mkv h264 files and often hangs. Coreavc keeps the cpu usage down and plays okay.

Alternately try vlc or kmplayer

thanks for yur reply,if i use core codec but what about audio decoder, when i using core codec then logitech did not detect dts or dolby digital, so i need audio decoder, tell the name of audio decoder
