I understand projectors dissipate intense heat and therefore a fan is essential. There won’t be a zero or noise free operation. I’m looking for something that is as quiet as possible.

The intended use is more of using it with music listening sessions. Like playing music videos, live performances videos or song visualisation. I’m not looking for 4K or the brightest picture. Anything that is low resolution is good. The priority is quiet operation. And the budget is constrained to under 20k.

Early in 2022/23 I got Benq ht3550 / w2700, a pseudo 4k projector for around 1.4L. In it, it has a no-sound/low sound mode, which does what it says, and the in-built speakers are good for the portable size of the projector.

If you are going for 4k, do go for Native 4k. Most have this low noise function.
Also try for good refresh rate, low input latency ( if you wish to game)

Good luck.

Thanks for the information but that would be way off my budget (mentioned above).

I wonder if the pocket projectors fit that bill. Again, not expecting 4K or 8000 lumens.

oh, didn't see the budget. If you can increase it a bit benq/asus has a portable series, don't know if they this noise cancelling/reducing feature, but do stay away from unknown brands. they will offer excellent pricing but picture quality will suffer. But they start from 50+.
