Hello! I won't pretend to have a thorough understanding of electronics, but I do have an appreciation for good sound and music. That said, I could use a bit of help!

I am looking purchasing two Polk Audio TSi500 or two Polk Audio Monitor 70 AM7022-A loudspeakers. They would be my only two speakers. I am not looking to biamp or use two sets of loudspeakers - nice and simple.

I currently have a Marantz 5004 integrated amp/receiver. Would this be sufficient for operating the above models of loudspeakers? Please note that I never max out the volume - I rarely go above one-third volume (I am a considerate apartment dweller). However, I may soon move to a stand-alone unit, where I would conceivably turn the volume up to half volume or slightly above. Also note that with the Marantz, I'm budget conscious and looking for good audio, but not necessarily interested in the absolute optimum set up - just wondering if this will do the job and do it well.

Thank you for your help!

mcnc123 have you auditioned the Polks TSi 500 speakers? The RTi speakers are better if you can invest a little more or get a good second hand deal going

Polks are good value for money. There are better speakers out there and you might want to check out Epos Epic 5/Paradigm/PSB/ speakers
