Marantz Sr5005 vs Denon 1612 vs Yamaha-v671 ?

Hello,

after I read so many reviews I got Marantz SR5005,Denon 1612 and Yamaha v671 AVRs.now I am in confusion to choose the best among three.help me.my requirement is 50-50 music and movie.

I believe Denon 1612 can not be compared with Yamaha 671. Denon 1912 is equivalent to AVR 671.

I own an Marantz SR5200 (6.1) Non-HDMI Receiver. I am having a good time everyday for my stereo lsitening (Film Music)/ DTH viewing & Weekend movie's.

The best part apart Marantz receivers is the Source Direct Mode. When this mode is engaged, it treats the speakers as LARGE & Subwoofer crossover bypassed. thereby treating all the speakers as FULL RANGE other than Sub Woofer. It treats my Diamond 9.2 BS as full range & the sound output is simply superb.

I have listened to Onkyo/Yamaha/Denon/Marantz in these modes. Yamaha / Denon receivers too have direct mode/Pure audio mode, but from my listening, i would say Marantz wins it hands down. The sounds is extremely rich.

Marantz is very good with Music. Will beat the other two. But in Movies, I liked Yamaha, Onkyo and Pioneer comared to Marantz.

Suresh........instead of 50:50 just make it 51:49 it will resolve your problem hyeah:

If 51% is music go for Marantz else go for Yamaha

I can adjust to 49 for movie,so that I can go for Marantz 5005.

Suresh.......as now you have a model to go ahead, i suggest you also visit the shop and get a demo, meanwhile FM will share their movie experiance with Marantz.

Try uniquesys bangalore. He (saif) had a marantz 5005 for demo (dunno if he still has). Google uniqesys and call him up.
