If you do not mind buying used, some one was selling their few months old Marantz SR 5005 for around 30k sometime back in HFV. Search the sale threads.

suresh.. i would say instead of going 50:50 for music/movies, go for AVR which sounds very good for movies and doing justice for music time being. down the period you always have the option for going dedicated cdp & amp for music listening. This combo will do 100% justice to music.

Dont forget to pair with right speakers that matters a lot.

today I went to uniquesys for Marantz 6006 and denon 2313 avr demo with paradigm speakers.when it played with Denon music is ok and movie is good.but when it with Marantz music and movie both are good according to my knowledge .but I did not get Demo for Marantz 5005,he told 5006 and 6006 same , watts output is different.

he did not say of 2313 cost ,he said it is new.6006 is 92k . I think it is high cost

92k is very high.. i think the price shd be around 65k. Infact 2312 was around 70k and I expect 2313 to be around the same price while 2312 will reduce

Marantz Sound signature is the same across receivers. May be one might be slightly better than the other due to the updated DAC inside. If you are not convinced, audition them an other time. There is no point buying a product & regretting later. So take some time

I am satisfy with 6006 AVR,but my doubt is,whether 5005 is also produce the same sound or not?if it is they i can go for 5005. .this is my first audition ,dont mind to ask so many times

I checked the specification of Marantz SR 6006 & 5005. Looks like they both have S/N ratio of 98db. So that implies they both have the same DAC and should sound the same. Never mind. Look for ppl in your city who own this receiver & audition it and then decide.
