MarantzPM5004 & CD5004 or MarantzPM6004 clubbed with and CD/DVD player

Hi,

Please suggest me the alternative whether to go with MarantzPM5004 & CD5004 or MarantzPM6004 clubbed with any CD/DVD player(pioneer/Philips etc).

Also please advice which BS speakers will go best with the selected combination. This set up is for pure music!!

The PM6004 & CD5004 pair well.. BS - Check out KEF300s. Believe your ears alone

Yess thats right CD5004 go well with PM 6004. If you afford PM6004 then that is the one to go for.

Marantz gels very well with Wharfedales. For BS you can try 10.2s. This will turn out to be a great setup. Very musical too.

Area would be around 10*12 feet, budget in range 50-60K.

For your budget and room size, Integrated amp of about 50wpc with BS Speakers will be suitable.

Integrated amps like : Marantz PM 5004/6004, NAD 326, Cambridge audio

Bookshelf speakers like : Aviano-2/Wharfedale x.2/ PSB Image B-6

But audition the combo before you decide.

Spend some 3-4K on good Interconnect and speaker cables for enhanced SQ.

Invest in krk actives or airmotiva actives, with a good source, sure will run ahead of passive amplifier speaker combo.
