I have talked with Audio People on the M1 DAC group buy for 5 numbers.

The MRP is 40k in India. They were giving a 15% off on all items for the first week in the newly opened hyderabad branch to showcase their arrival. The price quoted was 33k final when I negotiated and divakar has already purchased for the said price.

It is the new model with aynchronous USB input reviewed here. Musical Fidelity M1 DAC (the newer one) | AudioStream

They are willing to offer a group buy price of 32.5k (and not less than that )
But it is still a very good price considering that the minimum UK price itself is 28k and there is import duties over and above this + VAT.

This comes in sealed pack with VAT bill and 1 year Indian warrenty. There cannot be anymore discounts since it is an ongoing product.

@ Alpha Audio in Adelphi mall in Singapore. Maybe cheaper but I don't think by much. You will also have to negotiate Indian customs..

Checked with Mr. Jalal. 33k inclusive of shipping - Mumbai/Delhi/Bangalore - Not a problem.

Others didnt check specifically, but I think he can ship with BlueDart.

Most likely, I'll be there for the weekend. If you guys are willing, can bring along my Acoustic Portrait NOS DAC. It has dual TDA1541 chips & dual EC88CC tubes in output stage. Has multiple connectivity options. The damn thing is heavy so will bring it along only if you guys say yes.
