My new SL1210MK2

At last ... I got my Technics SL1210MK2. Price: Rs.50400. Seller: Roland Pro Music. Kolkata
Well its built like a TANK. 12.5Kg. I fitted it with a M44-7H. Well the cart is nothing exotic - but with the SL1210 they sing. Yesterday I was listning to Superuna and Shaan soundtrack(both new old stock). The music was total bliss.
The amp used is Kenwood Ka2200. Well for me happyness is SL1210.hyeah:

I am very happy for you that you could buy this new one but am sorry to say that the price charged is too high.If I am not mistaken Roland Pro sells musical instruments.Do they deal in TTs also?Or is it something which they brought through the grey route?Still I feel the price charged is too high.No hard feelings please.

In my experience any MANUAL Vintage TT which is not "severely abused" should outlive us. My father's 40 years old entry level Akai is still working as my RCM.

My Technics 1200 MK II teams up with Shure M-44-7H and yes it sings superb. As my taste revolves around old hindi genre especially R.D.Burman only, I'm more than happy. I had tweaked a little with tonearm rewiring via a local music shop, it went even better after that.

I can recall a rainy Saturday afternoon one and half years back, standing nearby a reputed dealer on pre-owned stuff at Esplanade, Kolkata. So went in just to check if the old seller has something to offer and saw this beauty. My immediate action point was to visit local ATM, drenched, and got at a very low price. The deal was over and went back home. Yahoo.
