Hi Guys,

I have recently bought a Velodyne Impact 10 and it works fantastic with my Tsi400. I run them on Denon 1912. I just had the Tsi400 and subwoofer is the latest addition to my setup, when I tried setting it, initially it was too boomy and was getting localized bass from the sub, but after reading lots of forum in the internet, finally managed to set it all right. Now after running the audyssey set up, I changed my front speakers to Small and set the crossover at 100 hz. Now the sub works seamlessly with the front speakers. Below link was very useful for me, just in case it helps someone.

Congrats..Sub generally requires 50hrs of break/burn in. Don't worry too much about tuning during the initial stage.

Hi Madhu,

I did try Polk's 10 inch sub, it sounded good too, but I was sure I can't go wrong with Velodyne !! So I went for it and I must tell you I am glad that I did that ! Its worth the money to realize that a quality sub won't disturb the neighbors as much as the low quality boomy subs (The samsung Home theater in a box) passive sub I had before !! :yahoo:

HAve bought an Impact 10 recently. Have found it a bit boomy - changing speakers to small has helped also ( Despite having floor standers). What did you do to placements. Mine is in a corner.

@xman, corner placement is only for people who want to hear more bass than the refference, so if you just want real lows then move the sub out of corner. Velodyne has air moving power so no need for corner placement. Also whats the volume on sub ? Does your receiver has auto set up using a mic ? If so then keep the volume know of the sub at 12'o clock position and run the set up ! Setting the front speakers to small si the right thing to do so that the receiver keeps the sub on even in stereo mode, even big floor standing speakers are not as good as sub in reproducing lows, also this will free up the front speaker resulting in much clear sound

Hey x man can you tell me what is the price that you paid for it and also which receiver that you have connected it to.

Thanks.
