need help closing between samsung LA32D550K1R & LA32D580K4R

Hi all,

i am planning to buy a LCD for my bed room ..

viewing 10 ft.

since its bedroom , cant afford to put a dvd played etc.. just the TV

also dont want to spend a lot.. 30K max.

tried to shortlist samsung LA32D550K1R & LA32D580K4R (580 with more sound - but need some real time reviews to conclude..)

Hav'nt looked at Sony since formats are a problem and its expensive.

other brands hav'nt tried yet. suggestions are welcome..

any experience with the above models and best price range will help..

samsung launched some offers this month, hence planing to pick a deal soon.

another add here is the sony cx420 (34.9K), though i don't know how this scales against samsung LCD 5 series (D580-34K).

both samsung and sony have godies along. where the samsung guys are ready to discount 2900 against dvd player...

sugestions on sony cx420 vs samsung D580 wil be helpfull.

Just bought today the sammy 32d580...for 30500.. buy the 580 as it is better than 550 but if you can buy from grey market and usb formats playability is not a problem then buy sony 32cx520 for 23-26k as sony has better picture quality

Bought it from Bansal electronics in panchkula. It's a Samsung's authorized distributor. No free goodies at this price but I was getting some Samsung's dvd player with the LCD for 32500.

I think you should go for LA32D580K4R as it is a next model of LA32D550K1R.
