Need help urgent

Even when I contacted Cc they told me to solve problem with seller directly, then what is the use of ebay

Its only a platform for sellers to post their products. Its a shopping mall with numerous shops. Who would you reach out to if there was an issue with a product you bought from a shop? The shop or the mall?

You really thought that you could get a product at a discounted rate without paying any customs or import duties? Did you confirm this aspect with the seller while making the purchase?

Divakar, First I should congratulate for your powerful atmos enabled AVR.

I am sure you would not have thought about these extra charges like shipping and import duty charges while making the payment as the price of the item shown less compared to other place. (Ignore if not)

If you want to return the item back to the seller then its all your responsibility then you should pay the shipping charges (and import charges in US if applicable). So in this way you could easily spend around 40k from your own money. Bad idea right.

As Ram suggested above, it will be good if you pay the import charges and get your AVR back to your home and enjoy the immersive surround sound. Just take this as a lession whenever you purchase things in the non indian sites.

Let us know if you need anymore help.

I bought one and having it brought over by my colleague around Diwali. Ordering from eBay or buying from Amazon or anywhere else from India is usually a rip-off, since it sells at more than double the usual price. Also most technology is dated in a way. Customs & Shipping is a hassle if you are buying from eBay or any other foreign website since shipping costs double than the product itself, and then customs hassles unless you know how to work around them.

In your case you will have to pay the customs and get it released, else you may bid your money and AVR goodbye. Try to find a "way" with customs though!

Good luck!

Congrats for the purchase, You can't avoid customs once its notified. You have limited options in my opinion

1. Take delivery - Pay the duty - Enjoy the purchase
2. Take delivery - Pay the duty - Worry about purchase (eBay can't do much, they would direct you to seller, Seller can't do much as duty is by customer, you can still try your luck asking them, but its unlikely anything can be done from seller/ebay end)

I know how it feels to pay the extra amount, all I can say is money is not worth over peace/happiness.

You can enjoy the purchase then being bothered by duty price(Since damage is already done)

In my experience Amazon is very good with the upfront information on cost breakup including shipping and customs. I have used it extensively.
CC is also good, have had one issue of shipment delayed while it used standard delivery without tracking. they sent the item again ( though it was small value laptop RAM), I ended up receiving the item twice.. on another ocassion the inlay card in one if the LOTR bluray was missing, they refunded 15 just for the same as I did not want to get into the hassle of returning the item

It is more expensive from Amazon in Germany.

So the price you paid seems reasonable.

Recommend that you get the delivery after paying the CD and enjoy the beast!

Awesome. Do you have a build thread on the forum? Do create one if not done already?
